Online Tutor - A-level

Tuitional is hiring remote AS/A-Level tutors to deliver live, one-to-one lessons to students in the GCC, UK, Canada and Malaysia. You will work as an independent contractor with a flexible schedule, teaching through Google Meet and an LMS. This suits someone with a degree and subject experience who can commit at least 2–3 hours a day during student hours.

What you will do

  • Teach AS/A-Level content accurately, using mark-scheme logic and exam board command words to help students earn marks step by step.
  • Run live problem-solving with full working, using a writing tablet or iPad to annotate equations, diagrams and answers in real time.
  • Set and review regular exam-style practice using past papers and mark schemes.
  • Coach students toward independent problem-solving, especially on harder or unfamiliar questions.
  • Log session notes and progress in the LMS after every lesson and keep parents informed.
  • Start and end sessions on time, following Tuitional's scheduling, communication and safeguarding policies.
  • Run assigned demo lessons and participate in onboarding, training and feedback sessions.

What we need

  • Degree-level subject knowledge with some prior teaching or tutoring experience at AS/A-Level.
  • A writing/graphics tablet or iPad with stylus for solving problems live with full working.
  • Laptop or desktop computer with a working camera and microphone; no phones for teaching.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection with a backup option such as mobile data.
  • Fluent spoken and written English, the medium of all sessions.
  • Available at least 2–3 hours per day in slots that overlap student schedules, including through exam season.

Nice to have

  • Demonstrated track record of improving student results at AS/A-Level.
  • Experience coaching independent problem-solving rather than just delivering content.
  • Familiarity with Google Meet and digital whiteboard tools before onboarding.
