What you will do
- Deliver structured live lessons that open with the topic, check understanding mid-session, and close with a recap
- Explain the reasoning behind answers to build foundations for IGCSE, not just give correct responses
- Set level-appropriate practice questions and connect topics to real-life contexts or future IGCSE content
- Teach using a digital whiteboard and handwriting tools; prepare clear, shareable resources for each session
- Log progress in the LMS after every session and keep parents informed of student development
- Start and end sessions on time and follow Tuitional's scheduling, communication and safeguarding policies
- Run assigned demo lessons, complete onboarding training and act on feedback from the Academic team
What we need
- Quiet, distraction-free workstation with a neutral background and a laptop or computer with a working camera and microphone (no phones for teaching)
- A writing or graphics tablet, or an iPad with a stylus, for handwriting equations and diagrams on screen
- Reliable high-speed internet with a backup connection such as mobile data
- Available at least 2–3 hours per day in slots that overlap student schedules across the GCC, UK, Canada and Malaysia
- Fluent spoken and written English — the medium of every session
- Comfortable using Google Meet and digital whiteboard tools, and willing to pass Tuitional's policy test during onboarding
Nice to have
- Ability to link Grade 5–8 topics explicitly to real-life applications or to what students will encounter at IGCSE
- Prior experience tutoring or teaching lower-secondary students on IGCSE, GCSE or equivalent curricula
