Online Tutor - IGCSE/GCSE

Tuitional is hiring remote tutors to teach live, one-to-one IGCSE and GCSE lessons to students across the GCC, UK, Canada and Malaysia. This is an independent contractor role with flexible hours, suited to graduates who have subject knowledge and some teaching or tutoring experience.

What you will do

  • Teach live one-to-one sessions on Google Meet, covering the full syllabus accurately and using a step-by-step method tied to mark schemes
  • Use exam board command words, past papers and exam-style practice regularly in lessons
  • Solve problems live with full working, annotating answers using a writing tablet or iPad
  • Log session progress in the LMS after every lesson and keep parents informed of student development
  • Start and end sessions on time and follow Tuitional's scheduling, communication and safeguarding policies
  • Run assigned demo lessons and participate in onboarding, training and feedback sessions

What we need

  • Available at least 2–3 hours a day in slots that overlap student schedules, reliably through exam season
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, the medium of all sessions
  • A writing or graphics tablet, or an iPad with a stylus, for solving problems live with full working
  • A laptop or computer with a working camera and microphone, plus reliable high-speed internet and a backup connection
  • Comfortable using Google Meet and digital whiteboard tools

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with the relevant exam board's command words and mark schemes
  • Experience using past papers as a teaching tool
  • Prior experience teaching IGCSE or GCSE students
