Aliza Shakeel

Aliza Shakeel has taught for 18 years and now works as subject lead for Literature in English at a senior school, a role that puts her on the other side of the syllabus: writing schemes of work, designing assessments and moderating what a top answer actually looks like.

That perspective changes how she prepares students. She teaches to the mark scheme without letting a lesson turn mechanical, using project work, discussion and real-world material to keep reading and writing interesting. Her recent cohort recorded 85% A grades in Pakistan Studies and a distinction at inter-provincial level. She has organised spelling bees, elocution and declamation contests across more than 15 schools, and she is unhurried with quieter students who need time to find their voice.

Aliza Shakeel holds a Master of Mass Communication and a Bachelor of Arts in Advanced English, Education and Islamic Studies, together with an ESL Teacher's Capacity Building Programme certificate and a Professional Teacher's Certificate from ERDC. She has edited a school magazine and writes for online publications.

She teaches through projects and discussion, then converts that engagement into disciplined examination answers.
