Aruba Ghaffar is a qualified psychology professional who moved into teaching after several years of clinical practice. Her first degree was followed by a Master's in Clinical Psychology, and placements in hospitals and psychiatric units gave her a working understanding of the theories students meet in their textbooks. That experience shapes how she explains them. Where a course description offers an abstract model, she can describe what it looks like in a real consulting room.
Alongside tutoring, Aruba works as a Learning Support Assistant, which keeps her close to learners who need material presented differently before it makes sense. She plans each course around the specification, then adjusts the pace to the student in front of her. Across 5 years she has taught more than 15,000 hours and led 45 exam preparation batches.

Aruba holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, and has completed a Learning Support Assistant certification alongside several clinical internships in hospital and psychiatric settings, as well as research projects in psychology.
Aruba teaches psychology through the clinical material behind it, then drills the exam skills that turn understanding into marks.
She links each theory to real cases drawn from her clinical work, so students remember the evidence as well as the name.
Lessons build in past paper practice and structured response frameworks that match what examiners reward.
Students learn to evaluate studies and weigh competing explanations rather than memorise conclusions.
Each plan is built around the student's current level, with pacing adjusted as topics are secured.
Difficult topics are broken into stages so students see early progress and keep going.
