Taha Alam holds an MBBS, and before that he left an international school in Riyadh with 3 A* at A-Level and 7 A* with 1 A at O-Level. He has since completed clinical rotations in gynaecology and obstetrics, medicine, paediatrics and surgery at a major teaching hospital, assessing patients and managing wards.
That clinical work is what students get in his lessons: theory arrives attached to a real case, so a mechanism is remembered rather than recited. He has taught for 5 years and more than 20,000 hours, and he is patient with students who need a concept broken down twice. He also serves as Director of Media and Marketing for a students' patient safety organisation and campaigns on out-of-hospital cardiac arrest awareness.
